Procedures for Requesting a New 911 Address
  • Does your property currently have a driveway? If not, begin by deciding where you plan to put your driveway.
  • Identify the GPS coordinates for the point where your driveway (existing or proposed) accesses the road.
  • Please provide complete information including the Property ID (available from the Bandera County Appraisal District @ 830-796-3039), legal description (i.e. subdivision, block, lot number), and your contact information. Incomplete information will slow the addressing process.
  • Complete the online Request for New 911 Address.
  • There is no fee for requesting a new address.
  • Once assigned, your new 911 address will be emailed to you at the email address you provided on your request form.
  • The process takes approximately 7-10 business days.
  • Upon receipt, please display this address on your house, driveway, and/or entrance with three-inch (3") or larger reflective numbers so that emergency personnel can easily identify your location.
  • Bandera County Road & Bridge can provide you an address sign. Cost is $22 for a one-sided sign and $25 for a two-sided sign. Please visit their webpage for an Address Sign Application.
  • If you have questions or concerns, please contact the Rural Addressing office at addressing@banderacounty.org or 830-796-8343.

Need help correction your Address, GPS Route, or Map Problems?

Frustrated by missing/wrong locations and directions in GPS devices and apps?

Do your deliveries always seem to go to the wrong location or your guests can't find you?

The problem is in the mapping software used by the devices/apps.  That software comes from the private sector (e.g., Google, Apple), not from the GPS satellites.
